Developed for network administrators and engineers, OmniPing Lite is a utility for network analysis and, in particular, IP address tracking, recovery, and assignment. It can be used to verify which machines are running on a network, to find unused IP addresses from machines that are no longer around, or to help in the organization and planning of network restructuring.

PingLog is useful when you have intermittent connectivity problems with your ISP, for example when their support desk never finds a problem, but one exists nonetheless. PingLog can create detailed logs of the connectivity problems, and saves and loads its settings with an added autostart option.

Ping Service monitors machines across a network or internet using the ping protocol. Telnet into the listener to view the monitor and determine changes to ip addresses and whether machines are still running. Runs as a Windows service so it starts as soon as the computer boots, no login necessary.

mturoute is a small executable that uses ICMP pings of various sizes in order to determine the MTU values on the path between itself and the target system. It also includes a “traceroute” like mode where it will attempt to determine the MTU of every hop in the communication.
